L.O.F PLANTS AND KITCHEN - FATMAWATI

First of all, I dedicate this blog post to Zomato and L.O.F Plants and Kitchen because I recently got invited to my very first #ZomatoIDFoodieMeetup and I was truly thrilled for it. The foodie meetup was held at L.O.F Plants and Kitchen in Fatmawati. I had to travel quite a long way with all the traffic jams from the North to the South to reach this beautiful hidden gem which needs a lot more recognition.

L.O.F (stands for Lots of Flowers) used to just be a contemporary florist who specializes in providing fresh flowers, plants, succulents, along with all the ornaments to affect their customers with the amazing ideas of having plants as an element of decoration. As you are reading this blog post, you might have been familiar with L.O.F and their notable plants and flowers. Residing a large white building with a minimalist design from the outside, L.O.F is located at a corner of a small street in Cipete, South Jakarta. Whenever you pass by the place, your eyes will be captured by lots of greens; plants which are visible through their window.

Due to the feedback and requests from their regular and frequent-visiting customers who used to only go to L.O.F to buy flowers and plants, they have now established their own KITCHEN so not only to buy plants and the other needs provided, their customers can sit down and feel welcomed home by their humble and hearty home-cooking creations - fresh from their kitchen to the tables while enjoying some nice and relaxing time inside the building adorned by the stunning arrangement of lush plants that you will find creeping in every single corner.

The place might not be the most spacious, yet it is truly cozy and can accommodate up to 15-20 people for their seating area. I really adore their full white marble textured flooring which complements the greenery and the elements which were altogether aesthetically pleasing! Which then makes this place the perfect place to rock your OOTDs and unleash your inner Tumblr passion. Here are the pictures I took during the tour-de-interior before having their delicious meals:

Expect to find the best-looking plants and flowers, including all the things related such as pots, vases, to the really cool self-watering plant stool! All the plants are watered and well-taken care of here every single day and they were all organized really neatly! They did it so their customers can then find inspirations to set their plants for house decor. I was truly pleased with lots of monstera leaves around the whole place (a.k.a my favorite kind of plant)!

Alright, enough on the interior and plants part, now here is the part that I would like to emphasize: their kitchen's SIGNATURE DISHES!

Crispy Enoki Mushroom | 25k

Crispy and tasty deep-fried enoki mushroom served with chilli sauce

This was served to start the meal, yet I kept on munching

on these nicely-fried enoki mushrooms with a slight hint but 

decent taste.

Korean Chicken Burger | 55k

Housemade kimchi blends well with boneless chicken, cheese and two soft buns. Served with fries, gochujang mayo and seasonal salad.

Now this one happened to be my favorite among all the dishes! I really liked how the kimchi and Korean seasoning blends really well with the crispy-tender boneless chicken (it was nicely cooked to a state of not being too dry; which I really loved!) Also, their gochujang mayo as an addition on the side just summed up the entire dish for some legit Korean taste!

Thai Beef Salad | 40k

A twist towards your boring salad! Romaine lettuce, mixed greens, cucumber and carrot juliennes with aromatic Thai style dressing.

L.O.F's Kitchen basically keeps up with the concept of their green plants and everything; which makes the dishes to be healthy as well. Here, you will find greens in every single dish and the Thai-style dressing of their salad was indeed aromatic.

Croque Madame | 55k

French-style smoked beef and cheese sandwiches, gratinated bechamel sauce and sunny-side-up. Served with french fries and side salad.

It's MADAME, not MONSIEUR, which means they do serve this ultimate all-day breakfast menu with a nice and runny sunny-side up on top! A comfort meal.

Cheese Curry Baked Rice | 50k

Japanese curry rice baked with 4 cheeses sauce. Choice of chicken or fish popcorn.

Look at that super crispy and tender chicken popcorn!

I am even drooling while writing this post!

Be spoiled with their GENEROUS cheese sauce;

made with 4 different types of cheeses!

Italian Meatball Baked Rice | 50k

Braised housemade meatball in tomato sauce. Served on butter sauce and bechamel sauce.

L.O.F Special Fried Rice (with Black Pepper Beef) | 45k

House special fried rice served with sunny-side-up, pickles and enoki fries. 

Choices of: Black Pepper Beef, Green Chilli, Seafood

Grilled Chicken with Sambal Matah | 45k

Fragrant kaffir lime rice with perfectly grilled chicken, authentic sambal matah and sunny-side-up.

I have this thing with sambal matah, therefore I was

really glad that they serve it in the house.

Laksa Singapore | 45k

Singaporean style of a combination of udon in a prawn soup with fish cake, tofu, bean sprouts and hard-boiled egg.

I have to say and give thumbs up to L.O.F because all the dishes that they serve in their Kitchen are truly AFFORDABLE! I mean, it is not quite often to find those range of pricing in the area/neighborhood located near places like Kemang and Senopati. Also for keeping all the dishes consistent in terms of character and also tasty in a light way (not being too heavy; suits the cozy setting of the place). 

I wish all the very best for L.O.F and I hope that their kitchen, along with the delicious housemade dishes can soon be recognized widely by the people. All the best for L.O.F and thank you once again to Zomato Indonesia for organizing this lovely event.
