AROMA GELATO EXPERIENCE - MALL OF INDONESIA

I was just spending some me-time at the mall. Had a lunch earlier and I walked by the newly-established area in Mall of Indonesia where several restaurants and F&B ventures have started to be developing - which means it now becomes my new favorite area besides Pasar MOI!

Was quite in the mood for some desserts and since I am not really a sweet tooth, I usually go for gelato! Happened to find that aROMA Gelato Experience opened its new outlet in Mall of Indonesia and it is still quite fresh in the area! Since I came alone, I only grabbed two small cups of their gelato - so do not expect much from this review. I am just going to keep it nice and short!

aROMA Gelato Experience has been pretty much well-known and good in the F&B market. The dessert parlor has opened several branches in Jakarta, having their not-so-big yet comfy Mall of Indonesia outlet as the most recent one to be opened.

They serve their signature gelato in various serving options:
- Bambino (1 flavor): 26k
- Piccolo (2 flavors): 38k
- Medio (3 flavors): 55k
- Grande (4 flavors): 77k
- La Famiglia (650ml - for takeaway): 155k

I had two cups of their gelato in Bambino size since as I said, I was only there alone and I just would like to enjoy some light treats after a quite sumptuous lunch. I went with their tea variants (as you know I am an avid lover of tea) and I basically only go with vanilla or tea-based flavors when it comes to gelato, soft-serve or ice cream.

Matcha
When it comes to matcha or green tea, I am always pretty skeptical because nowadays various brands in the wide F&B venture often label everything to become matcha or green tea without preserving the authenticity. Some are basically just milk with a slight hint of powder or essence. Yet aROMA did it really well! The matcha flavor was authentic without being overly sweet or bitter and I loved just how rightly dense the texture was! The staff also said that this one is among the favorites of their customers.

Thai Tea

I really love the fact that many F&B ventures have started to make creations or renditions of desserts that are thai tea based! When I spotted Thai Tea among their selections, I instantly asked for one. They also did really great on the texture and density; just fine! The thai tea flavor was not that bad as well, though it was quite obscure and needs a slightly more bold flavor to emphasize.

I think aROMA Gelato Experience does a great job overall. The best point that I would like to highlight is the texture and density of their signature gelato which I think is really important. They also have a decent range of flavors and honestly they are all tempting! I just discovered that they actually have Earl Grey which I am currently dying to try since Earl Grey is my favorite tea base among all others! Though the outlet in Mall of Indonesia is considerably to be small, yet it still can accommodate enough space for seating and it is comfy as well! Also, the cashier staff was really friendly and helpful. All the best for aROMA Gelato Experience!
