MCDONALD'S SPICY CHICKEN

I have always been an avid fan and lover of McDonald's. If anyone question me, "Have you ever got bored of McDonald's?", I would personally answer "Never." I would even wish for an All-You-Can-Eat pass so I can please my taste buds and belly with their fingerlickin' good meals.

McDonald's Fried Chicken is a staple meal that remains in everyone's list. Consistent through time, their well-fried tender and juicy chicken has successfully satisfied the hearts of many people. I mean, would you ever not want to just enjoy their fried chicken to only leaving some bones on the table?

Among all fast food brands that serve fried chicken, I would personally rate McDonald's to be on the top of the list for overall satisfaction. Nicely fried, fair portion and great value, just what everybody looks forward in having fried chicken as their meal.

Lately, my Instagram feed has been flooded with pictures revealing McDonald's new menu which they reintroduced: Spicy Chicken. As long as I can remember, they once had the spicy version of fried chicken which was adequate to their McSpicy.

Curious of how spicy it is, I decided to have them to eat while working with my friends. I was the only one who ordered the Spicy Chicken and so I got my hands on them.

This time, they are really bringing some serious flame to their fried chicken by blending some chillies to their coatings. I could clearly see it from the color of the chicken skin which was burning red compared to the Crispy version which is more yellowish. I ordered the "PaNas 2" set menu which consisted of two fried chickens, rice/fries (optional), and soft drink. Since it was before 11 AM then I could only have rice instead of their fries which are my absolute favorite. I then went with Iced Lemon Tea for the drink choice.

I personally prefer having the breast part in choosing the

chicken because it is more juicy and fairer in size.

Before actually having my hands touch the Spicy Chicken, I speculated that it would not be really spicy since I thought it would be not much different from their McSpicy. So I put my hands on them, starting from the skin which was heavily coated with their spicy seasoning. On my first bite, it was not really spicy. As I kept on eating, my taste buds started to react and as I kept on eating, I could feel the flame inside my mouth down to my throat. It was SO SPICY that I literally got burned. It was so striking compared to their regular Crispy Fried Chicken. I quickly grabbed as much drink as I could get to survive the hotness.

Closer look. The Spicy Fried Chicken does not look really red

I could not enhance the color yet in real life, it looked so red.

Even though it was really spicy for their fried chicken, yet the taste was amazing. I actually love the hint of spiciness which met the perfection of their juicy and tender chicken meat. It would be perfect if McDonald's put down their spiciness level a little lower so that more people can enjoy their Spicy Chicken. Their new Spicy Chicken is worth trying! Yet you need to take note that the spiciness comes from chilli instead of pepper. So, prepare yourself a few bottles of water or any drink to put the fire down as it hit your throat.

Also, I am very joyous that they have decided to make their Spicy Chicken PERMANENT on their menu instead of being seasonal like the other variants! I have been really enjoying it and I have been having their Spicy Chicken for months; every time I order my meal at McDonald's!
